108 Sun Salutations New Years Day/Winter Solstice

It is tradition to practice 108 Sun Salutations during the Winter Solstice (hibernal solstice) and New Years Day. It is tradition to practice 108 Sun Salutations during the change of the seasons. Winter Solstice is the darkest day of the year and marks the transition from light to dark but also the transition from dark to light. New Years Day is symbolic of new beginnings, new hopes & self growth. This is a great time to set new goals & reflect on the year, starting this new year a clean slate. The winter solstice occurs when Earth's Northern Hemisphere is tilted as far away from the sun as possible, marking the shortest day of the year. The Winter Solstice symbolizes death and rebirth. It is a time to go inward and examine the unnecessary weight, providing an opportunity to transform and let go of what is no longer needed. The celebration of the New Year aligns with the Winter Solstice and all that it symbolizes since both represent a chance to change and start again. Practicing 108 sun salutations is a fantastic way to reset the body & mind, encouraging a fresh start and new beginnings. My 108 Sun Salutation classes are split into 4 rounds of 27 with 5 minute breaks between each set. You can expect these classes to last several hours.
