108 Sun Salutations New Years Day/Winter Solstice

New Years/Winter Solstice 108 SUN SALUTATIONS

It is tradition to practice 108 Sun Salutations during the change of the seasons. Winter Solstice is the darkest day of the year, marks the transition from light to dark but also the transition from dark to light. New Years Day is symbolic of new beginnings & self growth. This is a great time to set new goals & reflect on the year, starting this new year a clean slate. Practicing 108 sun salutations is a fantastic way to reset the body & mind, encouraging a fresh start and new beginnings. My 108 Sun Salutation classes are split into 4 rounds of 27 with 5 minute breaks between each set. You can expect these classes to last several hours. This is an energetic and intense practice, so it is crucial to trust your body’s wisdom when participating. Some people prefer to visualize the movement while staying seated in meditation, which is an excellent way to partake while simultaneously honoring the body. If for any reason you are unable to join all 108 sun salutations, you are welcome to come for a portion of the class. If that is the case, I encourage you to come to the beginning portion of the class, so you have proper instruction.
