Full Moon Gentle Flow, Sound, & Yoga Round

This class will begin with a YogaRound practice (yoga with hula hoops!). The second portion will be a gentle flow practice followed by a short restorative practice accompanied with a sound bath

We are thrilled to roll out our mats & have some fun with hoops & gongs in the park with you!

Full moons are a great time to cleanse out your mental and physical space, giving you a chance to let go of what no longer serves you. This full moon is an opportunity to release any unwanted feelings or energy that you might be harnessing in order to make room for fresh growth. This moon is nicknamed the Full Sturgeon Moon, after the primitive fish that was once abundant in North America’s lakes and rivers during the summer. The full sturgeon moon will shine brightly in the sign of Aquarius.

Hula hooping and practicing yoga is how Jenny Wags began to feel more freedom in her body and creative spirit. She immediately felt a connection between the two, became Hoop Love Coach certified in 2017, 200HR Yoga Certified in 2020 and obtained her 500HR Yoga Certification in 2021. Through furthering her education in hoops and yoga, Jenny created YogaRound, where the hula hoop is used as a yoga prop, assisting with balance spatial awareness, planes of movement, adjustments and more.

Mary began practicing yoga in 2010, and received her 200HR certification in 2013. After completing her 300HR of training at A2 Yoga, Mary trained with David Emerson & received a certification in Trauma Sensitive Yoga. Mary has always believed in the powerful connection between the body & mind. She knew instinctively from an early age that pain & trauma could be released through movement. Mary is also a musician & in 2018 she began experimenting with sound instruments & incorporating their powerful vibrations into her classes.

Music & movement bring people together, and without music festivals this class might not ever exist! Jenny & Mary became friends at a small gathering in Lansing because of their love for local festivals. Jenny had an extra ticket to Blissfest & Mary had an extra ticket to Wheatland so they decided to make a trade. They have been dancing, stretching, & making noise together ever since.
