This Gentle & Restorative class focuses on alleviating pain by achieving physical, mental, and emotional relaxation without strain. Although the class does include a short gentle flow, most of the class involves holding passive restorative postures for an extended period of time (approximately 6-10 minutes). Props are used to support the body. Pranayama (practice of breath control), sanskrit mantras, and elements of yoga nidra are integrated into the class. All levels are welcome.
Recommended props: bolster (or two pillows), one blanket, and a yoga strap (or scarf, tie, etc.)
