Intuitive Healing through the Magic of Movement and Sound
Meet Mary
I currently live in Ypsilanti, Michigan with my adorable Airedale, Otis. Throughout the various stages in my life, I have found profound healing and growth from movement, music, nature. These three elements have been the most reliable and consistent aspects of my life. I come from a musical family and while I am predominantly a vocalist and guitarist, I play a variety of instruments. I grew up a competitive swimmer and was always encouraged to spend time outdoors. I have a deep appreciation for wildlife and nature. In addition to being a yoga instructor, artist, and performer, I make my living walking dogs.
I love experimenting with new forms of artistic expression. I am constantly expanding my knowledge and looking for ways to share what I’ve learned. I love to travel and have spent time exploring North America, South America, Australia, & Europe. I love animals, gardening, dancing, swimming, creative writing, skiing, boating, hiking, cooking, music festivals (especially Wheatland), as well as the occasional glass of Irish whiskey or wine.
I have always believed in the powerful connection between body and mind. I remember knowing instinctively at an early age that pain could be released through movement. I have suffered from severe depression and anxiety throughout my life. Since I had an aversion to talk therapy, I was compelled to seek out alternatives for coping with my pain. Movement and music have always been positive outlets that I have found to be effective. I believe everyone holds pain from their past experiences within the body and as a yoga instructor I strive to assist others that are working through similar challenges. As a performer, I aim to empower others and hope to spread my enthusiasm and unconditional love for music and dance.
